I didn't learn marketing in a classroom. I learned it by spending ₹30Cr+ of my clients' money — and being accountable for every rupee.
I grew up in Dahod, Gujarat. Right after 10th grade, in 2012, I got my first laptop and internet connection. While everyone my age was watching movies, I was trying to figure out how to rank pictures on Google.
I built a blog on Blogger. Then WordPress. Then Wix. Nobody told me to - I was just curious how Google actually worked. That curiosity taught me SEO, web development, and content creation years before I had any formal training.
Then I tried to make money from it. A news website. A tech blog. An information blog. A mosque information blog. Every single one failed. But each failure taught me the same lesson: content without an audience and an offer is just writing.
The first thing that actually worked was Offer Buddy - a blog, a Telegram channel, and WhatsApp groups sharing affiliate deals and cashback offers during the e-commerce boom. People clicked. People bought. I earned commission through Amazon Affiliate and EarnKaro. It wasn't skill that made it work - it was spotting a gap and building a system around it.
Alongside that, I did whatever paid: referred Google Pay at ₹70 a referral (made ₹9,000-10,000 doing it), referred PhonePe, ran a small recharge business converting referral wallet money into cash, and ran a movie-download blog off link-shortener income.
Then came my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. While studying, I started an Instagram page - Daily Dose of Knowledge - my first real taste of content and personal branding. After graduating, I took a job as a Production Engineer in Vadodara. I spent a year watching factory machines run in sequence - reliable systems producing predictable output, every time.
Every day on the bus to that factory, I watched YouTube videos on digital marketing. I knew before I left that job that I was in the wrong place.
After one year, I quit. Took a 3-month offline digital marketing course - and wasted both the time and the money. I already knew what they were teaching. That experience taught me something I still believe: most education teaches tools. It doesn't teach systems.
My first real jobs were as an SEO Executive at MySphere Infotech, then Digital Marketing Executive at Digio, where I managed social media and Facebook Ads. That's where the obsession with Meta Ads started. By late 2020, I'd decided to master it completely.
In November 2020, I started taking freelance clients alongside my job. My first client - Desai Investment, Dahod - paid ₹6,000/month for 30 posts and ₹1,000 in ad spend for lead generation. Small. But real. My second client, Sanskriti Saree, followed soon after.
In April 2021, I created an Instagram account - askdigitalshahbaz - and picked one niche to own: Facebook Ads. Then I made the decision that changed everything.
I launched the Creator Talk Show - a weekly Instagram Live series where I brought top creators and marketers on as guests. First guest: Sahil Khanna from Intellectual Indies. Over the next year, I hosted live conversations with Satish Kushwaha, Digital Dhairya, Avi Arya, Amit Mishra, and many more.
52 weeks of consistent live shows with established names built more authority than two years of regular posting ever could have. People saw me next to the biggest names in Indian digital marketing - and that association became my credibility.
In September 2021, I launched a free Facebook Ads course - giving away my best knowledge before selling anything. Trust first, offer second. In November 2021, I received an Instagram Creator Award.
In January 2022, I joined TagMango. That's where I got deep inside the creator economy - understanding how top creators actually build and sell programs, and learning real sales, not just marketing, for the first time. In February, at a TagMango event, I met Ranveer Allahabadia and Raj Shamani in person.
In August 2022, I left TagMango and launched my own coaching business - starting a Facebook Ads course at ₹499, raising it to ₹999, then shifting to a webinar model to sell it. I was learning the entire creator-economy sales system from the inside while building it myself.
At the same time, I was managing real ad accounts - Digital Dhairya, Riddhi Deorah, Divyansh Senghar - plus running lead generation for 10 makeup artist clients. Real campaigns. Real results, being built one account at a time.
In November 2022, I attended Spotify Creator Day in Mumbai and met Ankur Warikoo and Zakir Khan. People started asking how I was getting access to these rooms.
The most important connection of my career happened in October 2022 - I connected with Himanshu Agarwal. I attended his event in Goa, joined his mastermind, and he became my mentor for agency operations, business building, and scaling.
Himanshu told me to move to Delhi and work closely with Raj Gupta. I packed up from Dahod and relocated in 15 days.
Delhi rewired how I thought about money. I watched people pay lakhs a month in office rent without hesitation, businesses spend crores on marketing without questioning it. The first thing I did after arriving was raise my service fees for existing clients - and made my first ₹1L month without a single new client. I just started charging what the work was actually worth.
The real shift happened while working with Sudhir Kove, an occult coach. The campaign was performing, but I was being conservative with budget - playing it safe. Himanshu looked at the numbers and told me:
"Just increase the budget. I am in your back. I will manage to make profit for the client."
I increased the budget. CPL stayed the same. Leads kept coming. Revenue kept growing. That one moment broke a ceiling I didn't even know I had. After that, scaling campaigns to ₹1L/day became normal, not scary.
What followed were real, documented scale campaigns:
In February 2023, at Himanshu's event, I received an award for crossing ₹1L in monthly income. I bought my first MacBook. I built a house for my family in Dahod - the real reason behind all of it.
Later that year, I made a decision I've since reflected on honestly: I paused my coaching business, stopped content creation, and stopped podcasting to focus entirely on the agency. Looking back now, I know that pause cost me years of audience compounding. The system was always right - I just stopped running it. What you're reading right now is that system, restarted, deliberately and with everything learned since.
After auditing 500+ ad accounts and consulting hundreds of marketers across India, the same failure pattern showed up again and again:
Marketers generate 200 leads and contact 20. The other 180 go cold - then they spend more on ads to get more leads. The problem was never leads. It was that 90% never got followed up with.
Landing pages weren't failing because of design. They failed because there were no trigger words, no emotional resonance - visitors landed and left because nothing made them feel seen.
Ad accounts full of data nobody was reading. CPL climbing month after month, with nobody checking frequency, lead quality, or funnel metrics.
Results were inconsistent because nothing was automated - every lead contacted manually, every follow-up sent by hand. The moment the business owner got busy, the whole thing broke.
That repeating pattern, seen across 500 accounts, became the PMS Framework:
Words, emotions, triggers. Without it, your message doesn't land.
Numbers, data, diagnosis. Without it, you can't find the leak.
Automation, sequences, pipelines. Without them, you cannot scale.
A marketer runs a campaign and hopes. An engineer builds a system that produces the same result on purpose, every time.
I'm not the person who found one viral ad format. I'm the person who audited 500 accounts, found the same broken pattern in nearly all of them, and built a repeatable framework to fix it.
“That's the difference between a media buyer and a Marketing Engineer. One is a skill. The other is a system.”
To build India's most respected Marketing Engineering brand and ecosystem - and to take Indian marketers from stuck and underpaid to Marketing Engineers building predictable income, using the same system discovered across 500+ real ad accounts.
This isn't about creativity, luck, or who you know. It's about building the right system and running it consistently - even when it's tempting to stop, the way I once did.
Building something respected means staying close to people who are already respected.
